Very frustrating and sad cases. Hopefully Netflix’s global reach can help these parents reunite with their stolen children. I fear those two kids in Egypt are being radicalized and indoctrinated or already have been.

Yes very sad cases indeed.
I don't hold out much hope for the recovery of the two children who were abducted and relocated to Egypt. The fact that the father was able to abscond with them overseas coupled with the laws in that particular region of the world would make recovery nearly impossible. The only way I can see them ever reuniting with their mother is if once they are of age that they are "clued in" to this search that has been ongoing for them and they reestablish contact themselves. Although I would even say that is unlikely given the amount of time they would've spent under their father's thumb by that point.

The last parental abduction case I remember that really stirred emotions was the Christophe Day case. Betty had fled to France, which is far more western-friendly for obvious reasons than the Middle East (where the Kandil children and Aziz Khan are likely hiding). Under these circumstances, locating the children is an exceptionally daunting challenge and it could be easier or harder than having them reuniting with them; especially taking into account that parental kidnapping is not considered a crime there which means there would be little (if any) recourse or incentive for the local governments to cooperate with the State Department to have them returned home.
Ahmed Kandil strikes me as a power-hungry cynic who demands anything be handed to him on a silver platter. It would not surprised me if he is subjecting the children to some kind of involvement towards the inner turmoil constantly going on in that region of the globe.
Even though Rabia's new spouse (Elliott Bourgeois) is not technically 'wanted' based on the notice posted on the US Marshals website, I would think that he could potentially be charged with aiding and abetting, depending on the circumstances of how Rabia and/or Aziz is located. Either way, I fear for Aziz's father because for all he knows, his son is being alienated against him by the mother in favor of some unstable guy (we don't know about Elliotts personality, so that leaves room for great uncertainty about how he treats the boy).

Lost count of the number of cases like this I have seen just here in the UK the last 15 odd years. White woman & sometimes a Middle Eastern woman marries guy from the Middle East, the marriage breaks down & then next thing he has taken them, sometimes a white male marries a Middle Eastern woman & the woman also abducts them back to her homeland.
