This is my second favorite show after Lucy and it lasted because it was great, not so much the later years like any show when they run out of ideas, but at the beginning and for the first five years or so. It was incredibly popular at the time, on a par with Lucy. I think some of their episodes still rank in the top rated episodes of all time. I watch Granny and Jed, Elly May and Jethro twice a week on Saturdays and NEVER miss them, they were a riot!
