After premiering on CBS earlier this fall, reality dating show “The Real Love Boat” will now move (https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/132015-the-real-love-boat-in-the-media-cruise-news/) to streaming. When it comes to classic TV and it's countless reboots and revivals they often say that when a show gets rebooted it just isn't as great as the original. I think why CBS wanted to revive The Love Boat and turn it into a reality show titled The Real Love Boat was so they could do a version of The Love Boat with real people not actors and make it a romance based show. But what I think The Real Love Boat actually was as was the original The Love Boat was just a commercial to promote Princess Cruises because I think Princess Cruises is desperate for money because you hardly see Princess Cruises commercials on TV that much. But when you look at the general picture CBS has tried to do other reality shows that claimed to be monster hits but only lasted a season. Take for instance CBS had The Cut that was a fashion based reality show hosted by Tommy Hilfiger that was destined to be a hit but was cancelled after only one season and the same thing with the Simon Cowell created dating show Cupid and Love Island. But since Survivor debuted and Big Brother debuted along with The Amazing Race CBS seems to think they are the only big reality shows that are huge in ratings. But I think had CBS promoted it more The Real Love Boat could've done better
