The scenes where Miranda was farting were stupid. I for
one have never met a pregnant women who would fart
constantly and uncontrolably. Does anyone else think
this was a bit odd, or am I wrong and pregnant women
fart like crazy?

I thought that was a bit pointless- they thought it would be funny but personally I didn't think it was either.

I loved it!!!! :p hehehehehe I loved the episode.

How come you liked her farting? Do you fart in public all
the time? I doubt a woman as small as her could fart at all!

I think she probably could have farted pretty loudly. I know how it feels to be pregnant and have gas. It can be hard to hold in, but it really smells bad when you hold it then release it all at once. I accidently did that at a party once. I just couldn't hold it any more.

Its probably based on a true experience. I bet that
was happening to her during her real life pregnancy, and
she thought it would be funny to incorporate it into the episode.

It's a fact that pregnant women get extra gassy, but I thought they stooped to cheap, time honored, fart humor with those scenes. But then, I'm cynical about Sex in the City in general. To me, that story line was on par with most of the story lines in the show.

Maybe, but I think it was exaggerated quite a bit for the show.
I doubt that Carrie could have smelled Miranda fart inside a wide
open shoe store.

but i remeber when Carrie once farted in bed with Big!! that was hillairous!! she was so f***in embarresed! poor Carrie!

I haven't seen that episode, it would be funny to hear Carrie fart
really loud, she's usually so refined. I think Miranda's would have

Thats just plain funny. My friends who have been pregnant can probably vouch for that.

I think this is one of the funniest episodes. Although its a shame that Miranda is most often the recipient of these kinds of laughs. In response to the original question, this wasn't a stupid scene. It wouldn't surprise me if she could actually fart like this in real life, at least while she was pregnant. After all, aren't all women usually very gassy when pregnant, especially toward the end when they get pretty big and tend to eat a lot of junk food? :) ;) :)

I heard about this episode from a friend who saw an interview. I wish I could remember where. I think it was an interview with the cast on some talk show. Anyway, Cynthia Nixon said that at least one of those farts was recorded from her. Apparently, she thought it would make a funny conversation starter. Isn't that hilarious?
