Not just for Cheers but later on, how it could've impacted and bled into the Frasier spin-off?

For those who don't know what I'm talking about, during the penultimate season of Cheers, Rebecca was so desperate to have a baby that she agreed to hook up with Sam so she could get pregnant. The storyline eventually ended with two mutually agreeing to end the pact because they could not conceive.

But the writers did plan for the pair to through with it. In real life during the time the episodes were being written Kirstie Alley, who played Rebecca was pregnant. But rather than try to hide it (like they did with Shelley Long in the third season of the show) they were going incorporate into the show.

But tragically, Kirstie ultimately suffered a miscarriage, so out of respect for her, they abandoned that storyline.

I didn't know that. Very interesting!
