Although 1957 was a little while back, would it be a good idea for I Love Lucy to go until 1958 with an seventh season on CBS? What would the ending theme music sound like? Woule they move to another place? Would it be wrong for the CBS executives to add a seventh season for I Love Lucy at CBS?

I think they ended it just the right time. It was just on its way downhill.

I agree that the show ended at just the right time. It seemed to me as though the writers were running out of ideas, there were few "classic" episodes in the last season. For me, the show went out on top unlike those shows that keep going downhill until they finally get cancelled.

I think it would have been great if the CBS executives allowed I Love Lucy to continue for a seventh season. There weren't many country episodes in the sixth season and by allowing a seventh season would mean more country episodes. The country episodes were good in my opinion and I wish Lucy & Desi decided
to do a seventh season. And if there was a seventh season, I bet
I Love Lucy would have remained in the top 10 if not the top 3.

I think it would have still been a hit. It was still #1. But by then Lucy and Desi were having too many personal problems to do a show and work together every week--that is why they opted for an hour show (Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour) which was not on every week.
