Harris played the daughter of Barr and Arnold's characters.

A lot of it focused on drama Roseanne had with writers behind the scenes at the sitcom.

Danielle has talked about her time on the show and what it was like to work with Roseanne Barr but has never mentioned anything regarding this.

Fans of the show have speculated over the years that Danielle doing this movie was the reason that she never returned to the show.

Personally, I believe the reason she never came back to the show is this: One, Danielle was brought on the show only to be a friend/antagonist for Sara Gilbert's character Darlene.

Once Sara Gilbert left the show and was away at college, she was reduced to having a recurring appearance there wasn't much opportunity for Molly to return. Something I think is personally a shame because I think they could have done more with her character than what they did but I digress.

As for the second reason, a fan that was obsessed with the Molly character was upset with Danielle when she cut her hair for another role and began stalking her. This could have also been a reason she never came back.

Danielle has never spoken negatively about Roseanne and neither has Roseanne about her so I don't think there was any drama between them. I personally believe that Danielle was there to do a role and once she fulfilled that she made her exit like so many other actors before her that had recurring roles on the show.
