According to new data (https://www.reddit.com/r/television/comments/y709dr/andors_audience_demand_is_lowest_of_all_star_wars/), Andor has the lowest audience demand of all the Star Wars shows on Disney+. Acting as a prequel series to 2016's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Andor chronicles the exploits of Diego Luna's Cassian Andor during the formative years of the Rebellion. The show has earned strong reviews from audiences and critics alike, who praise creator Tony Gilroy's mature and nuanced storytelling approach. Now about halfway through season 1, Andor season 2 has already been confirmed, which will take Luna's character up to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Andor comes amid a general push into the streaming TV landscape for the Star Wars franchise. As Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker failed to strike a chord with audiences in 2019, The Mandalorian season 1 was released on Disney+, quickly developing a passionate fanbase. The Mandalorian would later get a season 2, which proved even more popular, and was later joined by other Star Wars shows, including The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Although Disney's Star Wars film slate remains very much up in the air, The Mandalorian season 3 is now on the horizon, in addition to a handful of other shows, including Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, Ahsoka, and The Acolyte.
