Didn’t actor Ken Osmond actually wear a mustache years later? And, Lumpy Rutherford grew a full beard years later. At least, the “Lump” was very fortunate that he did NOT inherit his loquacious father’s male pattern baldness! (I wonder if Violet Rutherford sadly inherited her dad’s bald genes?)

Yes, Osmond had a mustache. I think I saw it on a New LITB/Still the Beaver episode on Youtube.
