Rapper Coolio died on Wednesday at age 59, according to TMZ.

Coolio’s longtime manager, Jarez, told the outlet that the rapper was at a friend’s home in Los Angeles when he excused himself to go to the bathroom.

When he didn’t return after a reasonable amount of time, the friend reportedly called out to him — but didn’t get a response.

Worried, the friend simply went into the bathroom and discovered Coolio — whose real name is Artis Leon Ivey Jr. — on the floor. The friend immediately called the paramedics.

Coolio was pronounced dead on the scene after a suspected cardiac arrest. However, the official cause of death is still pending.

The rapper, who began his career back in the 80s, rose to fame in 1995 after the release of “Gangsta’s Paradise,” which was featured in the movie “Dangerous Minds.”

His death comes just four days after he took to Instagram to post his latest performance, where many of his fans reached out with well-wishes.

Many others took to Twitter to mourn the loss of the rap legend with Sean Evans from “Hot Ones” leading the tributes.

“First CD I ever bought in my life and the most legendary Wing 10 Last Dab these eyes have ever seen RIP Coolio,” the interviewer wrote.

Story developing…

Coolio is gone now? I'm surprised because I remember when he first came out in 1994 with the album It Takes A Thief and I do remember Fantastic Voyage very well because I used to sing the chorus when the song would play and if memory serves correctly Coolio also had a hit with the song I Remember as well and that song from Dangerous Minds was a rap version of Stevie Wonder's Pastime Paradise and Weird Al Yankovic did a parody of the song as Amish Paradise too. The last time I even saw Coolio was on Catch-21 when they had a celebrity edition of the show and he seemed to be in good spirits so what do you think caused his death? Could he had gotten into an arguement with someone he knew or did he have any troubles that nobody knew about? This is a shocking surprise and I hope they start the investigation really soon. Because Coolio was a star in rap music and a 90's icon and my guess is that the same thing that happened to James Brown happened to Coolio as well

As of now seems like cardiac arrest ! He was visiting a friend and went to the bathroom. After a long while of being in there, the friend checked on him . He was on the bathroom floor, passed away from a heart attack! :( Very sad! :(

This morning I discovered more about Coolio when I listened to music and I found his album It Takes A Thief and I found his song I Remember and it's a really cool song that samples a 70's song called Together and who knew Coolio could rap so well and become a success in rap music. I then found his second album with that song from Dangerous Minds and that album has been rereleased in an anniversary edition and it is also great. Coolio also had hits with the songs 1234 Something New and also did songs on the movie soundtracks of Clueless and Space Jam and Harold And Kumar Go To White Castle too. Even my cat was rapping along with Coolio too which is so funny because he usually meows when he hears country music and my mom thought it was so cool and funny

I got to listen to more Coolio music today and I found the song Fantastic Voyage and it was such a cool song that is perfect for dancing and I also found another version of Fantastic Voyage that seemed to be the most popular version of the song and it makes me think that the radio version of Fantastic Voyage was a remix and the first version was the original version. Coolio also appeared on Nickelodeon's All That as a guest performer as well

I found another Coolio song this time from the Space Jam soundtrack called The Winner and it samples The Impressions hit We're A Winner and it's a great inspirational song about not giving up and it's a really nice song. Coolio also provided the voice of one of the Monstars who were the enemies of Bugs Bunny's basketball team in Space Jam too
