Perhaps you never knew this before but in addition to being animated there was actually a human Mr. Clean in some commercials circa the 1950's. The commercial I found today is one of two commercials starring a human Mr. Clean. When the commercial begins we see a little girl playing with her dollhouse when suddenly Mr. Clean appears asking her about her dollhouse and sees the little girl holding a bottle of Mr. Clean and while she is pretending to "clean" the dollhouse Mr. Clean answers her questions about what Mr. Clean can do then the little girl says this "I like you" Can I keep him? referring to the empty bottle in her hand and then the commercial ends with Mr. Clean and the little girl hugging each other and then the classic jingle plays. Sounds like a crush is starting to develop in this commercial that is so so cute. The actor that plays Mr. Clean in human form is actor House Peters Jr. who became famous after these Mr. Clean commercials debuted by appearing in classic movies and western shows. Sadly House Peters Jr. passed away but he made a huge mark in commercials. When I first saw the human Mr. Clean he reminded me of Jarvis the butler from The Avengers comics but Procter And Gamble really knew how to create cute commercials like this one
