I Love Lucy Episode Synopsis (w/images):

VHS: VHS: Attached to “Redecorating The Mertzes Apartment.” On the Columbia House tapes, it’s attached to episodes #76, #77 & #78.
DVD: On the Season 3 box set, it is attached to episodes #72-77 as well as bonus features the My Favorite Husband episode “Husbands Are Sloppy Dressers.”

Note: The beginning of this episode was the first I Love Lucy scenes I ever saw back in early 1991 at 11years old when I turned my TV after school to watch the original Tiny Toon Adventures (remember the time period.) WNYW was showing this by mistake and even back then, I knew that. I did see an episode of the Lucy Show where Lucy Charmichael tried to get Jack Benny to put his money into her bank’s vault several times so i think it was so weird seeing Lucy having a husband. I still remember a couple lines from the first two scenes when I watched it for the first time back in 1991. They are these:
In the first scene where Lucy and a bunch of people (one of them being a cop) come in and tell Lucy about Madame X:
Lucy: “Call the police! Call the police!” (Seeing the cop): “Oh, you are the police.”
During the second scene where the Mertzes are leaving with Ethel telling Fred to buy locks for every apartment:
Fred (to the tune of “Happy Birthday To You”): “New door locks for Fred/New door locks for Fred/New door locks…”
