Does anyone remember the slide projector of photographic slides?
There are 2 episodes where slide shows are part of the script, the one where Ellen took vacations (Vint sets up the screen, Mama made popcorn) and the other one where Iola brings her family trip of her mother in a cave.
Looking at your family pictures projected was always loathed in my family. All the siblings would hide and reluctantly come to the living room as parents and others would reminisce about vacations, birthdays and other events.
Of course, my mom would drag me over to her friend's house for dinner (usually an exotic entree) and then see 100 or more pictures of her latest adventure to a foreign country. Either her camera or the film type was wrong. Lots of blurry, subjects heads cut off, too dark or too light photos. A 5 min travelogue for each picture, ugh!
