Wally and Beaver, are gone most of the day, sometimes to the point nobody has heard from them since morning.
I wonder why the Brady kids stay home so much?

I wonder why the Brady kids stay home so much? Because that is where the camera and studio was to film and record them :) stevea 09-18-2022, 06:21 PM Wally and Beaver, are gone most of the day, sometimes to the point nobody has heard from them since morning. I wonder why the Brady kids stay home so much? Probably one big difference is that much of Beaver's life is at school, and the show follows that by concentrating on his friends, his teachers, and the goings-on in the classroom. On BB there is virtually none of that, probably because there are so many kids involved. So it's mostly about their home life, with a few vacation trips thrown in. opus 09-18-2022, 11:31 PM I don’t think the Brady kids never went anywhere. Maybe it felt that way because there were six of them and only two Cleavers. So while whichever Brady’s were around the house doing whatever the plot was, the others could have been “out”. And did the Cleavers ever all leave the house to lose to Patty’s Prancing Poodles? I think not. Bonniegirl 09-19-2022, 02:06 AM Maybe they were afraid of that mean old Mr. Dittmeyer!!:D https://bradybunchreviewed.files.wordpress.com/2017/05/epilogue3.jpg stevea 09-19-2022, 06:30 PM There's a lot going on, on that astroturf. Chin-up battles, teeter-totter record attempts, Alice being dunked in the dunking tank, Marcia's snobby friends being sprayed by Peter's volcano lava, Marcia getting a bruised nose from a tossed football, Tiger hiding Kitty Karry-all, Greg's rigged UFO............ You'd think the phone battles would've lasted longer than one episode. biffbronson 09-19-2022, 07:33 PM There were examples of getting out to retail stores and the like, getting the kids out of the house: Greg & Bobby at Sam's butcher shop Jan & Marcia working at the ice cream shop Peter working at the bike shop Cindy buying a Shirley Temple record album Peter & Greg taking dates to a movie Greg recording his "Johnny Bravo" tape, later all the kids sing The kids choosing items at a trading stamp redemption store The kids going to a photographer for a group photo Jan having to go and obtain prescription glasses Attempted purchase of the engraved silver platter, leading to the amateur show Doing the car driving course, Greg vs. Marcia Marcia & Greg going to the hotel where Davy Jones is staying Lucy Winters' birthday party, where Jan reveals her new wig Greg getting a mascot goat from a rival high school Bobby & Oliver going door-to-door to try to sell hair tonic - and Greg goes to have his now-orange hair dyed The kids going to the diner where Alice works briefly Extracurricular activities included football for Greg and cheerleading for Marcia. The family gets out for bike riding in an episode also. Of course there were the trips to Hawaii, King's Island, camping, and out west. They do go to church early on, where Carol is to sing. Looking at their wardrobes, the kids must have gotten out for clothes shopping at times too...! stevea 09-19-2022, 08:13 PM Other goings-on: Peter saves a kid from a falling shelf at a toy store Bobby saves a girl's cat in an empty house (in the Sitcom world, empty houses are always open and accessible) Jan rides her bike into the garage and crashes into the anniversary picture because she wasn't wearing her glasses Greg delivers architectural drawings for Mike's company, but bungles the job Marcia goes to the dentist and falls for him Greg and his date go to a drive-in movie and Bobby tags along At school Peter finally gets in a good punch and downs bully Buddy Hinton New high-schooler Marcia puts on airs when Greg introduces her to his friends Bobby manages to lock himself and Greg into Sam's meat locker Greg feeds lines to Peter as he tries to impress his girlfriend, outside her house Peter dons a fake mustache as Greg tries to pass him off as older, so he can date the cousin of Greg's girlfriend. They are noticed by their parents and Mike's clients at a pizza parlor and the jig is up. Greg gets Peter to sell girl group cookies, and join the group, in retaliation for a similar move by Marcia on the boys' group, after her women's rights TV interview. In Hawaii Greg and Peter are held captive in a cave by a nutty professor. Bobby and Cindy wander off and are lost in the Grand Canyon until they're directed back to their camp by Jimmy Pocaya. opus 09-19-2022, 09:16 PM There were examples of getting out to retail stores and the like, getting the kids out of the house: Greg & Bobby at Sam's butcher shop Jan & Marcia working at the ice cream shop Peter working at the bike shop Cindy buying a Shirley Temple record album Peter & Greg taking dates to a movie Greg recording his "Johnny Bravo" tape, later all the kids sing The kids choosing items at a trading stamp redemption store The kids going to a photographer for a group photo Jan having to go and obtain prescription glasses Attempted purchase of the engraved silver platter, leading to the amateur show Doing the car driving course, Greg vs.
