Anyone ever notice the inconsistency in Steven's age? When he finds out that Ellyse is pregnant(with Andy), he says that he's 40 years old, which would have been in 1984, but in season seven, he mentions that he is a 40 year old father. How can he STILL be 40, five years later?

That's what is called being 40 in Sitcom years, whereas a character can add or drop years to fit the show's plot. Sitcom years syndrome was evident went Andy aged 5 years in one season.
I wish I could do what Steven did--wouldn't mind shedding a few years. :lol:
