Why did this show air on CBS back in the 1950s? CBS is a great network for it, but I originally thought that I Love Lucy was on ABC.

Well, I read in one of my I Love Lucy books that The Arnazes asked ABC if they wanted to pick up their show and they said no so they went to CBS and they picked up the best show ever!:D

My favorite Lucy book is called The Lucy Book. It tells who announced during the ending theme credits, complete plots, and lots more. It was around 30 dollars, so I will ask my mom to get for me for Christmas.

I got a book a few years ago called the Complete Picture History of the Most Popular TV show ever , I Love Lucy. It's authorized by the Lucille Ball Estate.
It has a lot of pictures and info. It lists the episodes in order w/ a few pages devoted to each episode. A must have in my book.;)

Hi Ash, nice to know someone like you is here, hope i see other friends too. Back to the original topic i dun't think ABC was even around back then, but even if they were, it was NBC that showed interest or rather Lucy and Desi threatened to take the show there when they were asking for something that CBS would not grant, it was always a CBS show, it came from a CBS radio series My Favorite Husband!
