Can anyone name the episode in which Prince Charles (now King Charles III) was mentioned? I seem to remember Beaver was writing a composition for school, and he wrote something like "If I lived in England, I would play with Prince Charles every day, and I'd call him Prince Charlie."

Was that the episode where he had the new girl in class help get the composition up to right number of words and she made bunch of junk up?

"Beaver's Autobiography." That's what I was thinking, but I'm not sure.

THAT paper was SO Well Written - I truly was laughing out loud !
Betsy & Virginia played the parts like pro's !
Beaver encourages pretty classmate Betsy Carter's crush on him to get her to help him write his autobiography for a school assignment; but when Betsy finds out that Beaver has been calling her names behind her back, her assistance turns to sabotage.

I just re-watched the episode, and yes, that is the one where Prince Charles was mentioned. Betsy wrote that Beaver's father was a famous correspondent who knew the queen of England, and Beaver got to know her son "Charlie," whom everybody else knew as "Prince Charles."

One more thought: I thought the episode was rather mediocre, not as good as I remembered it. I think I may be cooling a bit on the last season. The pace in some of these episodes was slow and Ward and June seemed to be phoning in their performances at times (June especially). I don't like how the writers made Beaver into a mean jerk - although maybe it was necessary as a device to make him continue to learn various moral lessons.

Examples are the Silent Treatment and the one where Beaver wangles it (by Gilbert's talking it up, how Wally gets all the breaks) so he can go to the baseball game instead of Wally.
