Maybe not exactly a poem, but a children's "fable" or a Nursery Rhyme exert from a book I'm writing I'd like to share. It tells the story of a flying Goddess named Geonna who disappeared in a rainstorm one day
Gone Away to Some Other Place (Geonna the Guardian Goddess of the Sky)
As light as a Summer breeze, she could moved through the air with the greatest of ease, on wings of shimmery silver she could fly as she pleased. She helped the weak, eased the frightened and guided the lost, she was drawn to the injured and to the broken, for she herself had a wing which was broken. Still she sored through the sky, through the sky so high in a dress of sparkly white and hair as gold as the morning light. One day as she glided happy and free, beneath the clouds and above the trees, it started to rain, and pour it did, it rained and rained and rained some more, 2 or 3 million gallons or maybe 4, thunder clapped, lightning zapped, when it was finally over and the day clear, a rainbow prevailed, but Geonna was no where near. They called out her name, into the blue they called, but alas! No answer came. The Guardian Goddess was gone, gone without a trace, gone far far away to some other place. Some wondered, "was she maybe absorbed by the sky?" Others pondered, "Did she become a cloud? To always watch over us from the high?" And so it was, Geonna the Guardian Goddess was seen no more, at least not for 2 or 3 years, or maybe 4.

I came up with it one night at work lol but I've tweaked it several times, and may again.
Here is some background if you're interested, I wish SOMEONE would be lol
The book I'm writing is called Melting Away, The Wicked Tale of Jonna Gulcheria. It's another backstory to the Wicked Witch of the West and prequel to the Wizard of Oz, loosely inspired by Wicked but very different. The story centers on Jonna Gulcheria, a off-beat trans woman based on MYSELF who ultimately becomes the Wicked Witch of the West.
The poem, in MY version of Oz, is a nursery rhyme taught to children, and is where young Jonna *born as Zsork Saspirella* got her name as a child, because because Geonna sounded like "Jonna" to her. And the poem eerily foreshadows her own eventual death
