My mattress is three years old and already showing sign of wear and tear. It just doesn't feel as plush as when it was new. I saw a 3-inch memory foam mattress topper at Walmart and decided to give it a try.

I am glad I did. It makes the mattress feel new with plushiness and back support. It fit very snugly over mattress with corner strap to secure it over the bed. The first night slept on it I couldn't believe how soft and supportive it is. It feels like a brand new mattress.

I paid $85 for it and it was money very well spend. Your back will thank you in the morning :)

So, does the combination require any special consideration when buying a fitted sheet?

The queen size brand I bought (Serta) also include the fitted sheet in the box which fit very tightly over the topper and mattress itself. The sheet fit very tight so the topper will not move as one toss and turn when sleeping. I also put my own bed sheet (queen size) over the whole thing. It is kind of tight, but it fits.

Get a memory foam mattress topper. I think you be surprise how soft and cushiony it makes an old worn out mattress.

I bought a mattress topper several years back and it worked well for a few months. But after that it was back to the same feeling of being uncomfortable. I eventually ended up getting a DreamCloud mattress and haven't had any issues with that so far.

You should have bought a mattress topper topper.

Enough of these and you'd have to worry about ceiling clearance.

I bought a mattress in 1983, and used it for 20+ years, and never had any thought of it being uncomfortable. Once my head hit the pillow, I was out until the alarm clock rang.

Just a few years ago I bought a super deluxe, extra thick mattress seemed like a good idea at the time. But finding the right fitted sheets for it can be a PITA.

Many that even claim to be for thick mattresses, seem to "pop-off" in the middle of the night, which grows annoying

In my long life my best mattress/bed is the Sleep Number, no bells and whistles model and eventually got a good topper I read about for those with Fibro. I sleep 8-10 hrs nightly and do take some sleep "supplements"...

Lol, if only I would have thought of that! But that was a Queen mattress and now I will never have anything but a King when sharing the bed with someone else.

Everything is memory foam. I never understood why anyone would want memory foam. Why would you want a mattress or mattress topper that's going to conform to your body shape? Isn't that what makes a mattress sag in the first place? Seems to me you need just the opposite - a mattress or mattress topper that springs against your body shape. I don't know. Must be just me. Apparently, a lot of people LOVE memory foam! :):D:)

In real truth for me, the best night's sleep were on waterbeds and that's why the Sleep # is my best now, it's air and our body conforms as it should. For mega years were told the firmer the better, well I don't buy that story anymore. Waterbeds are work and I'm not up for work now. My back felt best after sleeping on water. My first experience on water was after a long day on the road when I was in sales I checked into my hotel in B.C and all they had was a waterbed and I said oh no, will I be able to sleep, that night was the best sleep, no morning sore back, and first waterbed experience.

I hate Memory Foam as well. I bought a memory foam pillow last year - it stinked and the smell never left. I ended up throwing it away. No more memory foam.

I've been using a contoured memory foam type pillow for many yrs and it's never stank.

Dude I've talked to Sleep No bed owners and never heard a complaint. But like everything there are exceptions.
