While Baretta was a popular crime drama a little known fact about actor Robert Blake was he did commercials as a side job. Robert Blake appeared in commercials for STP Car Care products as spokesman from 1977-1981 and to be honest I didn't know Robert Blake promoted STP because the only known spokesman was NASCAR legend Richard Petty who even sponsored STP on his race car from the 80's till he retired in 1993 but STP was smart to use Robert Blake in their commercials and fans of Baretta might have bought a lot of STP products because of Robert Blake
