Someone alerted me that a newly updated episode of Season 8, Episode 2 has reinstated the missing segment of Aimee Willard. The previous streaming version replaced it with Moses Lall & Lila Buerattan, which itself was a transplant from another episode. The episode was posted a little over a month ago on the FilmRise True Crime channel on Youtube. Not sure where the Moses Lall & Lila Buerattan case was moved to.

Thanks! I barely remembered this segment. Nice to see something that I couldn't quote verbatim from having watched it so many times!

Please keep us apprised if there are any other similar updates.

Here's a playlist of their most recently updated episodes.

The Cold Case Files episode ("Bump in the Night") featuring the Aimee Willard case isn't on any streaming service as far as I know.

The Moses Lall and Lila Buerattan segment is still in Season 8, Episode 2 on the Unsolved Mysteries - Full Episodes channel.

Thank you very much for the link. Wish they would let us know exactly what was updated in each episode (unless they have done so and I'm not seeing where). I wonder what their reasoning is for doing these updates.

Was the beginning of this segment always so silent? Or did they drop a layer of the audio track? It feels like something's missing.

omegadoom, thank you for posting. I watched this segment again, interesting that film rise has updated episodes.

I also read the unsolved wiki page regarding the solve of Aimee's murder. Sadly, similar to what happened with Kenneth McDuff's victims, there were so many break downs in our justice system that could have kept Aimee from being murdered.

This was always a very underrated segment, IMO, because it featured a bunch of "suspects" who turns out had nothing to do with her murder.

Yes. I had a clip of this segment and the music is the same as the one in the FilmRise streaming.

To one of the posters above, the Forensic Files version is also on streaming and TV reruns.

I'm glad this segment is back. One of the more rarer cases from that era of the show. Still gives me chills.

So to watch this I have to go to FilmRise’s YouTube channel rather than the Unsolved Mysteries channel I’m subscribed to?
