Thanks for the photo gallery, the one I recall the most is Niagara Falls and I may have seen one in Maui.

It's an interesting part of the country. (Deliverance was actually filmed in North Georgia, BTW).. Because of all the folklore, I used to regularly plot at least one leg of my annual vacation trips to pass through Appalachia...See a lot of neat stuff you won't see any place else. It's like a country all by itself. One year I even went 6 hours out of my way just to drive through Mt Airy...just so I could say that I had been there

And really didn't know what to expect from the dot on the map labeled "Pilot Mountain", but the second it came into view down the highway,,,,there was no question in my mind where the name came from. (this was all back in the day before the internet was pervasive like now)
