pink panties? Did Sam really say that in the episode about the elopement? It's what it sounds like.

That is pretty gross if it's true.

From a 1977 New York Times article:

"He ordered, as usual, the French lamb chops with the little paper panties. What does it say about the French that they put panties on lamb chops?"

So paper panties are the little white things? I have never heard them called that before. My mistake.

It says that the bone is covered so it doesn't burn up to a black grizzle. It's called being a chef.

As someone with very limited cooking skills myself, I wasn't knocking the French or their techniques. It was not easy to find a reference that matched what Sam said.

I've been told that the first time my Godmother tried to cook lamb with spaghetti, she was so inexperienced that she put uncooked pasta in the oven with the lamb...! My grandmother was the best chef in the family and she's been gone for more than 35 years.

I also had no idea what Sam meant when he said pink panties. I would really like to thank the person or people who did the research for taking this load off of my mind. On top of that, because of how much I like lamb, I would be very happy if Sam gave me four extra lamb chops!

Hmmm wouldn't the pink paper panties burn up in the oven as well ?
