Lamont bought Fred a pool table for his birthday, but later regret it because Fred spends all of his time playing pool with his friends. And Fred regret it also since friends were eating and drinking all of his liquor.
Lamont should have known buying a pool table was not a good idea. You're going to have friends coming over for playing pool which mean somebody have to provide snacks and drinks.
And with pool table in the living room and people coming or going, the only place to have some peace and quiet would be in the kitchen. And can't even use the bathroom since Bubble went in and took Christmas issue of Ebony magazine with him

Lamont probably didn't think Fred would spend ALL his time playing pool lol ... But yeah it did take up the whole living room.... They spoke of having a basement once I think, seems down there would be the best place for it

If they moved it to the basement, Leroy won't be able to receive collect call from Chacha in Detroit :D
You are right. They did mention having a basement when all of their copper pipes got stolen. That might be the only time they mentioned it.

It seemed like they had a fairly BIG house.... bigger than the area we usually only get to see... They have a basement, in Sanford they had an attic, apparently more than just a crawlspace, in one episode Rollo was helping carry stuff up there. In the earthquake episode when Fred was trying to sell the house, he takes a couple upstairs and you can hear about 7 or 8 doors opening and closing as Fred calls out, 1st bedroom, 2nd bedroom, bathroom, ~3 or 4 other doors open but can't hear what Fred says for audience laughter~ but after the laughter dies down you hear him say what SOUNDS like, dining room, sunroom; for the last 2 ...... Julios house was huge so I'm just wondering how much room Fred had upstairs that we never got to see

The Pool table should have been on the basement not the Living room

It makes one wonder why with so much space, anytime a friend or relative come over, Fred and Lamont had to share a room or sleep on the couch.
For example when Grady was a boarder, somebody was going to sleep on an army cot in the living room. Or when Grady's cousin Emma showed up, Lamont and Grady had to share a room and a bed. Grady said he don't want to get too close to Lamont's toe nails :D
