The Powers That Be starred John Forsythe as a senator, also had David Hyde Pierce right before Frasier and a very young Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I haven't seen it, but it sounds good. There were other well known cast members like Holland Taylor and Valerie Mahaffey as well.

Where did you get your DVDs of The Wonder Years, and are they unedited with the original music?

I bought the complete series (from Time-Life) on Amazon a few years ago, whenever it was released. It's mostly unedited. It's got a few song replacements but it's mostly the original content. Plus, it has the original theme. The Hulu version has a substitute theme - same song, but it's a different recording by a different artist.

Oops, I wasn't aware Cafe Americain was a sitcom with Valerie Bertinelli in it. Otherwise, I'd have mentioned you in that one, too.

I would answer the Hot in Cleveland question here but... you know, I gotta build up some anticipation for my 2010s thread, lol.

You’ve written you own all seasons of ODAAT and it’s one of your favorites, so I trust your tastes. No rush

I grew up watching the reruns of One Day at a Time on the E! network. I had a major crush on Valerie, which was the main reason I watched it. I remember wishing I was Alex, just a kid who moves into that apartment and gets to live with Barbara Cooper! Even then, I knew I wasn't worthy of dating her, ha-ha, so I wished to be the kid who lived with her.

This year, I binged the whole series (to post one of my Casts-Per-Episodes Lists) and that brought my love back for the show. I intended to be chattier in the group, but, uh, I haven't been. I didn't even post my Casts-Per-Episodes, as I was waiting to add more to it, like episode descriptions and trivia. But the thing about me, is that I procrastinate and make plans for things that I'm just in way over my head for.

Alex was the luckiest 13 year old boy in Indianapolis.

What are Casts-Per-Episodes lists? Something around here, or somewhere else?

I've posted them on here from time to time. It's basically just an episode guide (minus the episode description) with who's in each episode. I know that info is already out there, but I've noticed imdb has made mistakes here and there and so mine is more accurate.

I want to add episode descriptions and trivia to them, which again, I know other sites already have this. I just like doing it myself. I'm compulsive that way, ha-ha.

If you find the time you definitely should do ODAAT. I’d certainly participate in that one.
