AMackII 08-17-2022, 01:19 PM Happy 20th Anniversary TVFactFan, I didn’t start using Sitcoms Online until 2015
Happy 20th Anniversary! I'm glad that you've stuck around all these years. There were a few times when I considered banning you when you were way out of hand years ago. It's hard to imagine this place without you. You've brought a lot of activity. :)
I checked the stats. We have 88 members who have been registered for over 20 years who have logged in this year. You are part of a select group.
Caroline13 08-17-2022, 01:31 PM Actually, I'm kinda speechless that anyone can stay on any forum for 20 yrs....but as they say there are all types out there. I'm over 7 yrs on one health group and it's so slow and boring I'm getting close to bailing.
Thinking about those with longevity here, they really love Hollywood and I live a short distance from the big actions, and I'm hardly phased...and yes I've enjoyed tv for many years and movies and the music and all my years of dancing....
icecream 08-17-2022, 01:40 PM I haven't been around quite as long but it will be 16 years for me in September.

Oh thanks for that, and Bonnie are you in this thread? And if not, why not....Most here do selfies I'd bet. I loved to take pictures and have albums full of pictures of me and all in my life, before the smartphone world.

I joined a month later, in September of 2002. Although, I had viewed this site for a while before joining and posting.
Back in the day, this was my favorite website. As the years went on, I came here less and less but I could never leave it completely (even though I did plan to and left for maybe a week or two before returning).

The first couple of years I used my real name Solomon and then I changed about to different screen names.......SitcomAnalyzer, TVResearcher, and now TVfactFan lol

Congratulations! You've contributed a lot to this site over the years!
I joined back in May of 2001, but I can't remember if I was hanging around here in August of 2002 or not. At some point many years ago I decided to take a break from this site, solely due to my annoyance with the over abundance of The Facts Of Life related posts that were flooding these boards at the time. That break ended up lasting several years.

The way I joined was researching why Laverne and Mork was in the Cunnigham's Living room lol And found out it was Mork and Mindy Pilot which Pluto always skips:mad:

I think I stumbled across this site when I was looking up information about Diff'rent Strokes.

The Facts Of Life was an okay show and I watch it sometimes. The board for it gets plenty of threads and posts these days, but the amount of attention that the show gets on this site now is practically microscopic compared to what it was getting around 2001-2004 or so. There were people on here back then who thought that it was the greatest sitcom of all time, which is an absolutely ridiculous opinion! Many of the board members who were obsessed with the show were teenagers and some of them were even younger than that.

If the Jeffersons and Three's Company Board got the same activity as One Day at a time and Facts of Life, I would stop dating:lol::lol::lol:

This could be the reason why its often skipped which still makes no sense
This was not a traditional pilot shot. Creator Garry Marshall cobbled together footage of of Mork's appearance on Happy Days with clips of Pam Dawber from an unsold pilot called Sister Terri and sold ABC on green-lighting the show. Mork Moves In was completed in script form and shot, before the pilot was written/filmed.

I see from online info that the "Sister Terri" pilot was about a nun named Sister Theresa. From Twitter:
"ABC's 1970s "Sister Terri" starred Pam Dawber (!) as a former gang leader (!) once known as Terri the Terror (!), boss of a crew called the Velvet Knuckles (!). She gave it all up to become Sister Theresa, parochial school teacher and basketball coach." (From Peter Manseau.)

Might be worth mentioning that The Flying Nun also had been an ABC series, running to April 1970.
