CosmicCharlie 08-16-2022, 06:36 PM my parent s were nice people and would have gave me my money Bonniegirl 08-16-2022, 10:17 PM Invested it on me ! My parents were very good honest people , I really don't think they would have taken advantage of me/ of my wealth ! :) Tankeryanker 08-16-2022, 10:49 PM were there any kids on the show that got the shaft from their parents like some childhood stars? stevea 08-17-2022, 10:42 AM I think Tony Dow was on that A&E kid star pity party several years ago, but I don't remember what he said. Others on there were Billy Gray, Patty Duke, Kim Fields, and others i don't recall. I'll try to re-watch it. Tankeryanker 08-17-2022, 02:14 PM I think my parents would have invested the money wisely for me so that I would have a good fortune built up as a young adult. They probably would have let me have one big thing as a kid like a horse, but they would not indulge every whim I had and let me blow it all. Yong Fang 11-02-2022, 11:49 AM My father already had a very successful career where he made a lot of money and we were upper middle class. He would have invested the money but would have made stipulations that I wouldnt get the money until I was 30 or so. I have read their will and if they died, I could not have gotten the estate until I was 25 or so. They would have not thrown my money away because they had their own money and wasnt too much into luxuries, except my mother liked travelling the World but my father paid for that. If anything negative (but maybe positive) my father would have made a lot of stipulations on the money until I was way into my adulthood. But it would not have been like Buffy from Family Affair who got her money at 18 and threw it away partying and killing herself on drugs. Maybe as a negative (or a positive) my father would have been proactive and talked me into investments and things. But as long as he was still alive (and is at 90 years old) he would have controlled the purse, maybe to the point I would have maybe sued him for it. |
