I am watching The Patty Duke Show and she has to take an intelligent test. It reminded me of Beaver having to take an intelligent test.

My schools never held them so I assume that they were done away with by the time I was old enough to be in school and take one (late 60s). Did you ever take one?

Yes, I think it was called the Iowa Test of Basic Skills. I had none LOL!

The last one I remember was in 10th grade, 1974......it had an innocuous title like "college placement assay" or similar, but it had all the trimmings of yer run-of-the-mill IQ test.

lol my were low but still got into college

Went to school in the 80s and 90s and yep, we were given standard intelligence (IQ) tests several times as well as other standardized tests in various fields to see how we were doing.
