Impressions 08-09-2002, 07:59 PM Its very dissapointing to see a new show very-late at night, and It looks like that Double Take really gets in their way and they don't have the opportunity to show their shows earlier, if they showed each show following each other shows. They would get to all the shows at an earlier time. If it weren't for the double take, and its surprising to see FT pushed back at 4am. But I do like they will be airing CIC, even if its at a early morning time-slot, but only for the weekends. Its also good to see that by Sept. 2nd-27 it will air 7 days a week! That's the only show I will be watching. But it is always subjet to change, and maybe good things will happen, everybody will just have to look out!
Thanks for the Update Pavanbadal!
GoldenFamilyTies 08-09-2002, 08:07 PM This is the month I stop watching N@N... Hopefully some 80's shows will have season sets on DVDs... please...
James 08-10-2002, 12:20 AM Why is "Coach" in the 1-2 am slot instead of the 9-10 or 10-11?
Why is "Coach" in the 1-2 am slot instead of the 9-10 or 10-11?
I am huge fan of this show and am actually satisfied that it is on at 1AM because there will really be no pressure for it to perform well, so it will hopefully stay on Nick at Nite for several years, not several months.
Czas na Zywiec 08-10-2002, 12:58 PM Six episodes of Cosby Show IN A ROW on Friday's and Saturdays??? Okay, I don't receieve N@n and some people may be telling me to butt out, but that is ridiculous. and tehn newer shows on at 1 and 5 am??? N@N in the past always has given new shows the first time slot, then they would be pushed back gradually as new shows joined the lineup. I'm glad that I don't get N@N, but I wish I did just to check it out and see what a monstrosity they created. What do you think about this new N@N pavabadal?
Will and Grace Fanatic 08-10-2002, 01:33 PM I thought Coach wasn't coming to Nick at Nite until 2003 like Roseanne.

Now I'mnot saying it's true, but from what I heard it was supposed to be:
Coach Fall 2002
Roseanne Fall 2003
Full House Fall 2004
Now don't dredit me on that, it's only what I heard from rumors.
LucyCompanyPhan 08-10-2002, 06:00 PM nick at nite should DIE!

That Cosby Mania just keeps on churning, don't it? Not just The Cosby Show but Kids Say as well.
I watch All In The Family and occasional TV Land Sampler Packs, but mostly I'm burned out on N@N lately. Its getting to be just like all the other channels that air the same thing over and over (clones). You know you'll eventually see the same thing, so you just quit watching for a while.
Three's Company for example. Its on so late, and anyway they're showing the Terri eps which are OK but...well...not as good as the Roper/Early Furley eps. So I took a hiatus.
Family Ties is OK, but I've quit watching that as well mostly.
Cheers is unwatchable at any rate for me.
Cosby:D:D:D With so much Oversaturation, my mind just says "Enough Already! Put something else on!". This also makes me change the channel sometimes.
Amen.
And so I thank God for Coach and Charles in Charge coming on, but w/Nick's Time Shares in Cosby & w/the Cheers 20th Anniversary thing, Prime Time Slots are OUT.
Diff'rent Strokes had so much potential, but alas, I don't watch the Deadly Black Bar Network much these days. Hopefully Diff'rent Strokes will get a better network.
Amen.
If Nick at Nite hangs in there, they just might get a better rating from myself. We'll see how much Coach & CIC I can stand.

I don't see anything listed for 6 Cosby Show episodes in a row. Fridays 10-11 and 12-1, I don't know what you are talking about?

Oh, darn. *Slaps self* I'm really sorry. LOL My eyes must have been bad, cause I fogot about that airing of Cheers at 11 and 11:30. Sorry about that. I forgot N@N starts late on Fridays and Saturdays and just looked at it wrong.
alf8mycat 08-12-2002, 04:14 PM Haha, that is funny that Charles In Charge would be aired at 5 a.m. Last time I was up at that hour, I actually came across Charles In Charge on TBS, at 5 a.m. Poor guy.
Personally I feel that CIC doesn't even belong on N@N.
alf8mycat 08-12-2002, 04:19 PM Another thing that bothers me about N@N recently, is that they are picking up shows that have been on in syndication for quite some time, by the likes of TBS and WGN. Why not show some classic shows that haven't been shoved down our throats by syndication already?

Yep. I pointed that out in another post about N @ N receiving TBS and WGN's hand me downs.
I agree though with you alf. I would like to see old rare shows instead of seeing something that went off the air in the late 90's and has been in syndication since the day it left the air.
¤Graced¤ 08-15-2002, 10:58 PM I happen to be very pleased with the new schedule, I dont feel like looking at who it was said it but. If coach is on at a later time, nick at nite will have an excuse if it isnt a booming success. For the fans of that show, they can see it for several years on Nick.
Although I am estatic that Cheers is on AGain. I know so many ppl will disagree with me on that. BUT I CAN NEVER GET ENOUGH! Gosh that has to be the sign of a major compulsive.
luv ya
AtlantaBravesFan29 08-16-2002, 10:25 AM  Here's what I would do if I was Nick at Nite and the schedule that I would come up with after the first of the year:[list=1]

9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m: The Cosby Show
10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.: Coach
11:00 p.m. to Midnight: Cheers
Midnight to 1:00 a.m.: Family Ties
1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.: Three's Company
2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.: All In The Family
3:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.: Charles In Charge(reruns of 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m)
4:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.: The Cosby Show(rerun of 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.)
Hopefully this could happen after the first of the year!!!
factsoflife 08-17-2002, 03:39 PM nick at nite should DIE! <br>
I agree, they take off FACTS OF LIFE for COACH and Countless COSBY SHOW episodes. thank goodness for HAllMARK CHANNEL.
I wish N@N would air series that can't be found anywhere else on television, like Punky Brewster, Gimme A Break, Perfect stangers, Kate And Allie, and so on.
¤Graced¤ 08-21-2002, 01:40 PM to pavanbadal:
Is it true that Nick at nite has the rights to Cheers for seven years, or until 2008. I think I saw that on another thread but didnt know if it was confirmed or not.

Yes, they have a 7 year deal, 75 million they paid for it. So it lasts until Fall 2008. Of course they could move it to TNN or something in between, but I think it will be on Nick at Nite the whole way, but you never know.
RainMan 08-24-2002, 10:14 AM DITCH ALL IN THE FAMILY!
Why can't All in the Family move back to TV Land? Maude is on TV Land, The Jeffersons is on TV Land..........And originally AITF was on TV Land...........All in the Family isn't even 80s! (Archie Bunker's Place was tho)

Maude hasn't been a TV Land regular since October of last year. I think they should keep AITF. They were going more for late 70s/early 80s and now into late 80s, but AITF can still fall in hte late '70s catagory. And AITF seems to be one of the few really good shows left on Nick-at-Nite.

So true, and at least it isn't being run into the ground either. I would get sick of it too if it ran 4 or 5 times every night. JMO
Harper49 08-29-2002, 11:49 AM Uh, So Will Charles In Charge Will Ever Show It At 9:00PM, 9:30PM, 4:00AM, And 4:30AM In 2003?

2003 is far away, in September and October it is scheduled for 5 and 5:30AM Eastern/Pacific. November and on is NOT out yet, so I can't answer that. Charles in Charge's contract expires May 25, 2003 though, only a 1 year deal.

I've got a question about Charles in Charge's time slot too. I thought the newest shows got the best time slot. CIC is a new show and its got a crappy time slot. Is it because its a one year deal and N @ N just isn't interested in promoting it? I'm not a fan of the show, but I just wanted to ask anyway.

Probably because it is only a one year deal. However, I hear that the Nick @ Nite October schedule could change, stay tuned!
¤Graced¤ 09-03-2002, 01:23 PM Uh this is sooo stupid
I was hoping that Cheers would stay at 10:00 in october and the rest of the year. But now I seriously doubt that it will stay at 10:00 for the WHOLE year.
K, done with my rant
NICK AT NITE KEEP A STEADY SCHEDULE!
AlexPKeatonFanboy 09-04-2002, 08:37 PM im so tired of these double takes, it does not give enough time for any other shows. Not to mention all Nick at Nite does is shove Cheers and The Cosby Show down our throats. I am just glad Charles in Charge is on, bring Doogie Howser MD and Head of the Class back along with The Facts of Life and we are all set.
Harper49 09-04-2002, 08:43 PM Are You Crazy? The Facts Of Life Is On Hallmark Channel!

AdiTheGame 09-06-2002, 06:33 PM "nick at nite should DIE!"
Why don't you just shut the hell up, NAN is the best thing to happen to Cable. Without NAN, maybe we wouldn't have TVLand. IMO, it has the best schedule. Cosby Show, Cheers, Family Ties, All in the Family, and Three's Company are great shows, now all they have to do is move FT up and get rid of TC and add Newhart and the return of Gilligan's Island and they are great.
Anyone know when Murphy Brown is coming to NAN? Roseanne sucks and should leave immediately like ALF's NAN disaperance.
¤Graced¤ 09-06-2002, 07:30 PM I am a little confused, Is Murphy Brown coming to NAN anytime soon? Are they planning to bring it there? Pavanbadal?

No it's not coming. I think Lifetime has the rights, they put it on hiatus, but it has yet to return.
AdiTheGame 09-06-2002, 08:13 PM I wish it can come back, I never saw an episode, but I heard great things. And I saw clips and it is hilarious. I also wish WINGS can come back to syndication.

No I don't work there but I follow everything very carefully.
AdiTheGame 09-07-2002, 02:08 PM He doesn't have to. I know what networks have what rights and I don't work for any network. I didn't know Lifetime had MP's rights though, but NAN could still buy the rights and LT could still keep it. Both WB and NAN have rights to Cheers, both WB and TBS have rights to Friends. Both TBS and NAN have rights to The Cosby Show, NAN and TVL share All in the Family and I Love Lucy. NAN and TNN have Diff'rent Strokes and Three's Company (along with TVL), along with Kids Say ... The Bob Newhart Show's rights also are owned by TVL and TNN, and I think NAN still has some rights.

Not all WB's have Cheers and Friends. You mean local syndication has those two. In other cities, one could be on a Fox and the other on a UPN. Cable and local syndication are two different things.
N@N, TVL, TNN are all part of Viacom--that is why they can share shows.
Cosby Show is different, their production company also owns Roseanne, they like to have their shows on multiple cable channels. Roseanne is coming to Oxygen and N@N in 2003. Cosby Show is on TBS, WGN, and N@N. Other than that, it is very rare to see one show on 2 cable channels, I don't count N@N, TVL, and TNN as 3 channels, they are relatives and can share programs. Just thought I'd let you know...
Robert Tilton 09-08-2002, 09:24 AM And of course the best way of dealing with Oxygen, or Oxigyn as my old science teacher Grady Bailey said is:
I Breathe It.
Amen.
Uh oh.
Time for Beddy Bed and Bizzy Biz.
Gotta run.
AdiTheGame 09-08-2002, 01:01 PM I know that most channels are together, but they are different channels and that's why I mentioned them. In Canada, Everybody Loves Raymond and Friends is syndicated on CBS, so is Rosie O' Donnell.
