I am tired of the heat but as much I love Autumn, I am not looking forward to chilly nights, I hate it since I hate cold weather and I have a terrible immune system in cold weather

Give me warmer weather any day and for halloween, not my bag but I had some
fun ones along the way in my life. I'd rather take clothes off than put on the heater....

I'm hoping Oreos bring back pumpkin spice from around 4 or 5 years ago. They were the best.

That flavor also really improves Frosted Mini Wheats.

Last year I bought some Pumpkin cream sandwich cookies , like oreos cookie with filling in the middle but they weren't oreo brand .They were in the bake section of the grocery store ! Delicious ! :happyface

I LOVE chilly nights ! Warm pajamas and an extra blanket! I hate being hot at night when even a fan isn't enough and having to have an AC on even at night running up the electric bill! UGG!! :p

" California dreamin' on such a winters day " quoting the Mama's & Papa's ! :cool: It gets chilly in the winter but not freezing cold and sometimes rains ( which we desperately need) ! But than we also have fall or spring type weather in the winter too! ;)

Summer can sometimes have it's heat waves, but it would be fine with me if it was summer all year around and I wouldn't complain.

For various reasons, I'm not really fond of the other three seasons, autumn, winter, and spring.

Bonnie, when I arrived here in Santa Monica in the late 60's it was a shock in many ways, but I would NEVER leave....spent every moment I could at our beautiful beaches, the cold Pacific but warm lovely sun and sand. And I know about when I have to turn on my wall heater and it's around Nov 1 or so as it gets chilly, I don't believe these bldgs have a lot of insulation....Sun is the major insulator.

That does look like a good fall meal. But yes, cutlet is a better name. By the way, if anyone asks, I make a really good chicken cutlet, or so I’ve been told.

I stand by my pumpkin comments though. During September and October there’s waaay too many pumpkin flavored things, and pumpkin is not a good flavor.

And yes, if you Google ‘pumpkin flavored pizza’ you’ll quickly find it.

I've committed to not wishing my life away. I used to think in terms of "oh boy, cant wait til...payday/christmas/friday/vacation/spring/summer/fall...etc etc. But now that I am retired, I want to enjoy every days as it comes.

And, I'm really averse to schedules. Anytime I run into anyone who I may not have seen in some time, if they press too hard to set a date and time to "get together", I generally shy away from too tight a commitment. "Thursday evening"? Yeah I'll work with that...but "Thursday at 7:30"? no, I don't think I can make that....

Count me as being tired of Summer, too, as the summer heat at where I live has gotten to the point where I've had a fight with my parents in early July about going out walking in 100-plus degree weather, even with a small face towel and a bottle of water. The only time the weather is suitable for walking outside is after 7pm (Central Time), after broadcast TV primetime begins. I guess this means I'm not fit for the region I live in.:(

Alright, we've "enjoyed" the change of seasons now, I've had my fill of this cool, dank Canadian weather. I'm ready for spring again, followed by an endless summer.

I liked summer as a child because I did not have to deal with school, something that has always given me unnecessary problems from Kindergarten until the end of college. I hated school, including college. As a child, summer was awesome. Had a full membership to the YMCA, went swimming everyday, my parents and I took trips to see grandma and the cousins, or maybe out to California or Florida. Three months of freedom.

As an adult, I HATE SUMMER, with a passion. I have always grown up and lived in places with repressively hot weather. Where I live now, it stays almost a 100F degrees until the end of September. Having to constantly run the air conditioner and either freeze or get hot when I turn it off. The mosquitos (which I will say die off in high summer)

October and early November is my favorite time of the year. I love the cool weather, a relief from three months of repressive heat. My favorite sport to watch (and about the only one besides weightlifting) is College Football, and I will watch multiple games and follow many teams and the drama of it. When I lived in America, I always loved Halloween, from childhood to adulthood.

If I was a King of a Nation, the first week of October would be a national holiday (it actually is in China), to celebrate the coming of Fall. Fall is my favorite time of the year.

BUT, how much I hate summer and love fall, the only thing Summer is better is the longer days and sunlight. I hate it when the sun goes down at 5:00!

My wife and daughter went to a bachelorette party at a casino over this last weekend. My daughter sent me these pics of the Halloween displays there.

I am so fed up with the shorter daylight hours!! Takes forever to get light out in the mornings, it's depressing. Bring back the summer safari!!

Like I said, the only thing I dislike about Fall and early Winter is that it gets dark at 5:00, and the only thing I like about summer is the sun is out until after 8pm.

I'm very pleased that the people of Buffalo and western New York got their just deserves over their antipathy for summer

Another thing I dislike about cooler weather is that it's harder to breath under exertion. Riding a bike uphill, or pushing a cart of groceries across a parking lot, it seems like the lungs do not absorb oxygen as efficiently from 20 degree air as they do from even 60 degree air.

I'm tired of "chuffing" under moderate exertion.

We in CA are experiencing the history breaking heating bills and I'lve been here 57 yrs....I'll take warmer weather any old day, if it's too hot and we get some heat spells, a wet washcloth around my neck does wonders...... And my joints hurt much much more in the colder. And that's true for all with arthritic issues. I left the 4 deep seasons decades ago and never once missed them...I can feel the changes here, they are subtle but they are.

Oh just hearing the winter rains as promised again. We need the rain, so I'm not complaining, just saying.....if only CA got rains all year round....

Oh what a waste anyway, the egging damage, use the eggs for nutrition not for damage...

We had that one spell so far this winter, where over night temps dropped to like 11 below zero, and pretty much like my mom always used to do, I hit the grocery a few days before so that I could just weather--out the inconvenience from inside....had two weeks stock of all essentials, and fortunately we were back in the 30s by week's end

And, we've had 4 snowfalls thus far, that were significant enough to accumulate. And I'm proud the say I waited out each sufficiently long that I have yet to scrape any windshields this year.
