Very nice.....I have stuck my finger in a pay phone coin slot many times and gotton money.....One time I was at this hair salon and they had a cocot in there (Coin Operated company owned telephone (A private pay phone)) and it wasnt made well...If you put your finger up inside the coin slot you could feel where the money was and wiggle it out :D (I didnt wiggle much........)

I passed by a Dunkin' that had a drive-thru window and heard a guy yell "oh, ****" as he dropped his change from the car. I decided to wait a little bit until there were no more cars coming and went up there looking to see what I could find.

I scrounged up $1.77 in change.

Frito-Lay makes this French Onion Dip that comes in a glass jar. It's always been over priced IMO, historically in the $3.45-3.69 range, per jar.

Since prices have got all crazy after covid, that price went up to $4.50...and I just refuse to pay that price.

The last month or so, I've been seeing $4.99, and just laugh.

Today at Kroger, they were running a "Buy 4 or more, and pay only $1.99 each" bargain.

So, I looked at the jars and all the ones at the front of the rack had freshness dates of 11/22 and 12/22.

But, I dug deeper into the shelf, and way at the back I found jars with 6/23 freshness dates.

SCORE!! I got half a dozen....

I know man!! Saving $18 off a $30 purchase is like a 60% discount. And the best part is, by the time I finish all 6 jars, I should be so worn out on it that I'll never want to see the stuff again.

Went through one of my father's closets w/ him and we came across playing cards from the defunct Manufacturers Hanover Corporation.

He knows I collect cards and he gave them to me.

I found The Sopranos complete series for $12 and the BBC series Planet Earth which was still sealed for $2.00 at the Salvation Army.
I later found the companion Planet Earth DVD board game also sealed at Goodwill for $3.00

In bold...I hate that crap. Buy (for example) four of something to get a discount. Maybe I dont want four, why should I have to pay a higher price. 50 cents each or three to a dollar.

Or the "Buy two and get one free" deal. No, it's not free, you are just paying one price for three items, but if you only buiy one item you get charged more.

Lastly, one thing I hate from Kroger and every other store are these "membership cards". I went into their store once and bought an item with a sign stating the price but when it was rang up it was a higher price. The reason being was that the price sign was in yellow and to get that price one needs a "membership card" and surrender your personal information to them. I dont want to do that, who I am is none of their business. So I have to pay more money to be anonymous. Whoever invented "membership cards" (I abhor the term member/membership) should be cast into a vat of molten plastic.

Dont get me started on all prices ending in 99. This is so insulting to the consumer. Or playing music in the store. The supermarkets actually pay for this crap. I fear old age but am looking forward to losing most of my hearing so I dont have to listen to some caterwalling while buying my bran flakes.

The barcodes had not been scratched off on several and to my surprise 2 were $10.00 winners and another was $30.00. I have found discarded winners of various amounts on several occassions, but never $50.00 in one day.

I went to the gas station after work to get a lottery ticket and opened the car door and found 26 cents on the ground.

I found 29 cents on the ground yesterday afternoon.

I found a wallet with about over $400 in it, at a grocery store parking lot. When I took it inside to Customer Service, there was a frantic young mother at the
counter reporting a lost wallet. Needless to say she was happy to see me.

He told me to turn it over to the local precinct and file it as a lost/missing item. If it isn’t claimed by a certain time then the item is mine. He told me to bring it back to him with a copy of the form and then he can buy it from me.

I found this in a box in my closet as I was searching through old things of mine. This was from 1995/6 when wrestling events were done as fundraisers around the neighborhood schools. They would get these indie wrestlers or wrestlers who weren't working during the season.

This is signed by Mike Mayo, Sr. who went by the ringname Bodyguard for Hire. I looked it up and his son, Mike Mayo, Jr. also went into wrestling. He went by the name Mike Kruel and now does the indie circuit.

When he was a kid he was his father's "manager" at the events.

There were 2 boxes randomly at the ferry station with FREE written on them. I took a couple of books that I wanted and the DVD of Finding Neverland (2004).

I was at Walmart last night and found my 15th credit/debit card lying beside the claw machine. It was a pre-paid card with no name. I called the number on the back and found out it had a balance of $22.43 left on it. I would like to give it back to the person who lost it, but with no name I don't see how that's possible.
