I have been working on a screenplay for A television based movie. All In The Family, its a viscuous and arduous process, and project to say the least.... Since the Jeffersons lie within the First season, I took their origin from the spin-off (Jeffersons), and worked them into the beginning, introducing them, and having them full blown characters by the time, it creates the transition to the main plot (AITF.) So basically I took "The First Store" episode the one where it talks about MLK, JR. and essentially verbatimized the work, working it tighter and tighter so that it could feel updated yet timeless, I don't know if I have successfully adhered to my self-proclamation, we'll see. But I do know that I left a portion out of their story, (verbatimized the episode) just wanted to add in a scene away from the Jeffersons.... More about this later... please do respond.

It's a great idea starting from the Jefferson's dry cleaning (that was the best Jeffersons episode even though I'm a fan of that show) but not as much as All in the Family.

You can have the Jeffersons arrive in Queens for the first half of the movie and then they move on up and continue with Joey's birth and use the episode either where Archie accidently joins the KKK or Edith's Rape (which is an episode that I still to this day can't watch) and then Mike and Gloria move away having Archie change which he did on the series. I dunno!

Archie reminds me alot of my Grandfather in the fact their both from New York and talk the same and my late Grandmother reminds me of Edith a bit too, except she was more streetwise.

If you ever get this greenlighted let me know, I'm an actor and would love to audition for "Archie".

Buona Fortuna!
(Good Luck!)
