"Different Stokes" is one of many shows that has had at least one episode about how bad it is to smoke. When this show was on, it was a very common trend. The media played it for all it was worth. Other shows that I have watched that have dealt with this issue include "Friends", "Gimme a Break!" and "The Brady Bunch". In the recent past, I have posted messages on the pages of "Friends" and "Gimme a Break!" about this issue. They both have views but no replies. Right before I came here, I started a thread on the "Brady Bunch" page regarding this topic. I decided to get my finger in one more pot before moving to the next activity.

I haven't seen the series for awhile, but I do remember the episode where Nancy Reagan guest starred. i think she was promoting "just say no" to drugs, which was popular in the 1980s.
