According to Schnauz, Better Call Saul's aversion to de-aging (https://www.reddit.com/r/betterCallSaul/comments/ks1xqi/whats_with_the_deaging_in_this_show/) VFX (https://uproxx.com/tv/better-call-saul-breaking-bad-characters-deaging/) is for purely financial and practical reasons, but the show's choice to not use it works wonders for the show. Sure, it may be more believable for some viewers to see Mike, Gus, and Bob Odenkirk's Jimmy looking younger (https://movies.stackexchange.com/questions/109011/why-werent-the-cast-of-better-call-saul-aged-down) than they did in Breaking Bad.
