"The View" Recruits Elisabeth Hasselbeck as its Temp Conservative Starting Next Month
by Bruce Haring
July 28, 2022
Former co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is temporarily returning to "The View" as its resident conservative voice. Hasselbeck was on the show from 2003 to 2013, coinciding with the show’s seasons 7-16.
“It will be an honor to cohost The View, share our bestselling children’s book, Flashlight Night, and as always, tackle hot topics!” Hasselbeck said to People. “Pray for me y’all!”
Hasselbeck is expected to return on Aug. 3 as a temporary seat-filler until a permanent conservative is found. After leaving "The View", Hasselbeck joined Fox and Friends, replacing Gretchen Carlson as a co-host.

If they want some fiery debate they should try for Candace Owens, for the permanent gig.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck has given The View a jolt this week: She’s the conservative voice the show desperately needs (https://variety.com/2026/tv/columns/elisabeth-hasselbeck-the-view-1236679418)

Filling in for Alyssa Farah Griffin, she engaged in heated debates with Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg regarding immigration, COVID-19, and President Trump's policies, bringing a familiar, polarizing, and "OG" conservative voice back to the panel.
