I think Margaret Hamilton would have been a great special guest on "Bewitched". She could have played a sister of Endora or a sister of Maurice. She could have even been a totally different witch. Maybe a replacement for Aunt Clara? Esmeralda? Anyone's thoughts?

She could have been a so-called "old-fashioned" witch, dressed up as in Oz, or at least using the voice and mannerisms. As such Endora couldn't stand her sister, and was always trying to get her to "get with the times."

As a real twist she could dislike many of the witches, but take a fancy for Darrin, another reason for Endora's dislike. She is very powerful and as such, if she can be located, can nullify Endora's spells.

She once in awhile rides a broom, just for kicks.

Margaret Hamilton used to tell this great story about how she got the part of the witch. She was a contract player at MGM, usually playing small parts in B movies. Her agent called her and told her that the studio wanted her for Oz, which was much sought after for actors at MGM. She was thrilled. Then her agent told her that they wanted her for the wicked witch. She was stunned. "The witch?", she said. Her agent replied, "What else?"

Great story. She nailed the role.
