It was a hoot seeing Opie and Andy in their matching Hawaiian shirts this afternoon in the "off to Hollywood" episode. Seeing the look of contempt in their eyes while aunt Bee praised them was worth the price of admission.

I remember my dad and I had shirts exactly like those, and my mom had a matching one piece sleeveless dress. Exact same print as those on the show today. :o

There are several things I like about the Hollywood episodes. I like how Aunt Bee changes her attitude toward the film when she sees that she is being played by a gorgeous actress in a forceful role. It's fun to see Gavin MacLeod wearing a toupee. It's good to see Hayden Rorke.

And most of all, it's great to have Ruta Lee in a remarkably sexy appearance and in fun interaction with Andy. By the way, a recent interview reveals that Ruta's memory is excellent and she remains very vivacious and feisty.

My mom used to wear a sleeveless house dress in the summer back in the 70s, you brought back a memory.
