WOW! This was so fun! :D
I just started a new job last Thursday in a phone store where I take bill payments from people, and yesterday mornin' this man walked in. He looked to be in about his 50s, dark hair, glasses, a jeans and boots kinda guy (I know cause he was wearin' 'em, lol), and he came to me to pay his bill.
He gave me his statement, and it said, "Ken and Karen McClanahan". And I was like, "Omg, how funny!" and as I processed his payment I said, "Huh, 'McClanahan', like Rue McClanahan."
And he said, "Yeah, she's my aunt."
And in my head I went, "OMGOMG!!" :eek2: , but I managed to control myself (I've met my favorite singer 7 times, so I can handle "sudden starness" now, lol), but I just smiled and cooly said, "Really?", and he said, "Yeah."
Then I kept doin' was gettin' his receipt ready and I said, "Yeah, I watch her a lot on the Lifetime channel. I love 'The Golden Girls' " (or somethin' like that---I was so excited, lol) and he said somethin' like "Yeah" again or somethin' (once again, a bit blurry, cause I was "OMG!"-in' in my head, lol!).
Then he left, and I ran in the back and enthusiastically told my co-workers, went back to my seat, wrote a parody about our phone company to the theme of GG, sang it over the pagin' system, made the women I work with laugh till they cried (wow, what a compliment!), and I was thrilled!
I was sooo tired when I came to work yesterday, but, needless to say, meetin' Rue's nephew perked me up for the rest o' my shift! :D
I'm 2 degrees away from a Golden Girl! LOL!!

Just too bad Rue wasn't with her nephew on vacation, comin' in the store with him. LOL!
And I was also thrilled when he left, cause I was like, "Wow...I have this dude's address and phone number! :D"
But I ain't no stalker, so I didn't steal it. LOL :)
Anyway, what a fun thing to happen on a tired work day! :D
