If you grew up in the 60's you probably remember listening to Gene Pitney and you probably danced to Only Love Can Break Your Heart at your senior prom. Back in the 60's Gene Pitney became a huge successful star with hits such as Town Without Pity the earlier mentioned Only Love Can Break Your Heart and his other best known hit I'm Gonna Be Strong which was also covered by Juice Newton and Cyndi Lauper. Another thing that Gene Pitney was have hits of cover songs and he does a really cute cover of Gary Lewis And The Playboys hit Count Me In and a marvelous cover of Roy Orbison's hit Crying and also Donnie Brooks's hit Mission Bell and also sang in Spanish. Gene Pitney passed away in the 90's but he left an awesome legacy of hits for years to come
