I recall Nick at Nite airing two episodes of Here's Lucy back in 1995 in the Lucy marathon they had which included four uncut episodes of I Love Lucy each day, and depending on day it was one episode of each The Lucy Show, and/or The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour, and/or Life With Lucy and the Lucy & Desi Home Movie. Nick at Nite only aired I Love Lucy, The Lucy Show, & The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour as regulars on the channel. Unfortunitely Here's Lucy was just a special showing and not a regular like the other pre-Lucille Ball shows. The only channel that I recall airing Here's Lucy as a regular is PAX-TV. PAX-TV aired the series back in the fall of 1998 in which it came on every weekday at 12 & 12:30pm. Here's Lucy left PAX at the end of January of 1999. Hmm I remember watching that but I don't think I watched the Lucy Show and Here's Lucy when they showed it. All I can remember is the home videos...I wish I was older then lol Christopher 08-09-2002, 11:39 AM I remember when N@N aired it as a special. They aired two episodes, the one where Lucy had jury duty and the other had something to do with Lucys daughter and a singer. Wasn't N@N supposed to air 2 episodes of Life With Lucy during the special? Was Here's Lucy better than The Lucy Show? I remember reading where this show got the higest rating for a Lucille Ball show. Is that true? I remember reading where this show got the higest rating for a Lucille Ball show. Is that true? "Here's Lucy" had the highest rated episode of the two shows. It had Liz Taylor in it I think. But overall, "The Lucy Show" did better in the ratings then "Here's Lucy". The ratings history of both shows: The Lucy Show 1962-1963: #05 1963-1964: #06 1964-1965: #08 1965-1966: #03 1966-1967: #04 1967-1968: #02 Here's Lucy 1968-1969: #09 1969-1970: #06 1970-1971: #03 1971-1972: #11 1972-1973: #15 1973-1974: #29 Christopher 08-19-2002, 09:45 AM Originally posted by Burke Snow Winters "Here's Lucy" had the highest rated episode of the two shows. Was it I Love Lucy? Sean Snow 08-19-2002, 06:47 PM Originally posted by Silver Daze Which Lucille Ball show got the most ratings? Was it I Love Lucy? Yep it was I Love Lucy. It was #1 three or four times in the '50s. LucyFan 08-19-2002, 07:29 PM Originally posted by Silver Daze Which Lucille Ball show got the most ratings? Was it I Love Lucy? Lucille's first show, I Love Lucy earned the highest ratings out of the five Lucy sitcoms. It was quite popular throughout the 1950's in which it always ranked in the top 3 in the series entire run. Her subsequent series didn't rank as high as her first series but proved to be equally as successful. The Lucy episode that earned the highest rating ever in Lucy History was the I Love Lucy episode where Lucy Ricardo gives birth to her first-born son, Little Ricky. ILL #51- "Lucy Goes to Hospital". LucyFan 08-19-2002, 07:49 PM Originally posted by Silver Daze Was Here's Lucy better than The Lucy Show? That question is a hard one to answer because it is asking for an opinion. Some Lucy fans have opinions of both shows. Some say The Lucy Show is better than Here's Lucy and visa-versa. I guess you need to watch both shows and figure out which show is the better one [for you]. Personally, I like them both and I have seen them hundreds of times. But I think The Lucy Show is a tad bit better because the plots were more fresh and that Vivian Vance was a regular in the show. I remember reading where this show got the higest rating for a Lucille Ball show. Is that true? [/QUOTE] No, that's not true. The Lucy sitcom that earned the highest rating was I Love Lucy. But the second highest rating was earned by Here's Lucy in the episode "Lucy Meets the Burtons", HL #58. EdLuvsLucy 10-27-2002, 09:53 PM I remember this marathon and recorded much of of it. The played episodes of I Love Lucy, The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour, & The Lucy Show. I don't remember the specific episodes that wre aired though. The also aired The Lucy desi Home Movies, The Life With Lucy Pilot & Two episodes of Here's Lucy. The Here's Lucy episodes were Lucy And Joan Rivers Do Jury Duty & Lucy & Frabkir Avalon. I remember the Here's Lucy & Lfe With Lucy episodes specifically because at that point I had no epiodes of eith on video so I recorded them and watched them over and over. :D SPLAIN 10-29-2002, 04:42 PM You're very lucky, i always envied people who lived in New York or L A as they could see her all the time! Hopefully with satellite dishes and all those networks to fill with shows, these shows will find their way to us eventually! |
