I dont know about the rest of you, but there seems to be more fights popping up and some of them are getting way out of hand. I have helped contribute to some of them, but I just left them. But anyways-TJ, I think we need more moderators to help to make the amounts of fights get smaller. I dont like the fights and I would like the real brutal ones stopped. I mean like every other day a thread is locked here and there. I dont mean to sound all goody two shoes cuz im not, Ive cussed at people here. I just dont like getting in fights all the time. So how about it TJ, should we get more moderators?

(I tried to post a poll but it didnt work.)

Well if TJ thinks we need some moderators, I'd be glad to volunteer. I also think Bootsy would be a good moderator.

Yeah, I agree. Its totally stupid how some of the people are saying and doing. Do they LIKE having their forums closed?? I think yeah, another moderator, or maybe TJ can suspend the REALLY out of hand ones for like, a couple of days or whatever. I dunno...everyone argues and has their own opinion...but some are just WAY out of hand.

I agree. Some fights just get totally out of hand. Here's my list of who I think would be good moderators.

I never thought someone could say that I was sane. I've never received that compliment before. It feels nice to think that some people think I'm sane. lol

I wouldn't mind being moderator of the Batman board. It's quite peaceful over there, but you know some of the peaceful boards has some of the worst fights when the fights do break out.

I don't think no more moderators are needed.... and ya know why? Cause they'll get all big headed and any post that hints at a bit of controversy will automatically be "tattled telled" to TJ. . . I say leave things as they lay.. TJ obviously has a good handle on the boards and I see no reason for change.

Which boards need to be moderated the most? It seems to me that the number of fights have leveled off and dropped in the past several months. Things are better now than they were from September 2001 to March 2002, when there were lots of fights.

I volunteer to moderate for The Lucy Show and Here's Lucy boards! But it is only if TJ would let me. Since I know a lot information of both shows and I visit those two particular boards quite often I think I am qualified to moderate them. Anyways, please let me moderate those two boards, TJ! Thanks! :)

I agree, especially when it comes to the Chit Chat board. I think this board is under control. Every once in a while, there's a cyber-spat, but the different viewpoints make it interesting.
It's true--give most people a moderator badge, and the *power* goes right to their heads. Before you know it, threads start getting locked left and right, every word is scrutinized, etc.
My opinion--leave well enough alone.

Mostly I agree w/ Amanda, & I don't think we need that many moderators. I would like to be one, but I don't think I could! I'd probably cuss someone & really, typing cuss words just isn't the same as actually telling someone..it looses something on screen, imo, so what's the point. Why I still do it..? I dunno.

Sometimes serious arguments break out like in what episode did Charo come on board wearing a blue and red sweatsuit, and was that the same episode where she sang a cha cha version of the theme song.

But really, LB is my favorite show and I would love to moderate that board. :talk: :wave:

No clean jokes that aren't funny
No name-calling without permission
No being naked while posting
Oh, and most importantly, no following the rules

I couldn't moderate this board. The big people would just tell me to take a flying leap and the younger people would just run over me roughshod, like they always have. :lol:

This post has turned into people asking to be a moderator, or nominating others to be a moderator, before TJ has even decided on anything.

That said, I think TJ has a good handle on the boards. There are about 8 (maybe more? maybe less?) moderators, and I don't think there is a need for more. There might be a couple more forums that could use another moderator, but right now I think there are enough.
