Don Knotts was a tremendously talented comedic actor. Could you picture anyone else pulling off the role of Braney Fife as well?

Could you picture anyone else pulling off the role of Braney Fife as well? marmalade 09-24-2001, 04:59 PM Yes, he did a wonderful job. And no, I can't picture anyone else in that roll, but my emagination isn't that great. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif DarleneIllyria 09-24-2001, 08:11 PM I agree he was a fabulous Barney Fife and nobody could ever pull off the Barney Fife character, but him. ------------------ Hottest Men alive: Dale Midkiff Anthony Starke Tim McGraw Jonathan Crombie Lumpy: Did you go out for anything, Dud? Dudley: Well, I went out for football, but I got my finger stepped on, so my mother made me quit. Eddie: Well listen-- I went out for basketball and I got my hair pulled, and my mother made ME quit. Dudley: It's not that I was afraid of getting hurt or anything; it's just that-- well, it's kind o' hard to play the flute with a busted finger. [Eddie and Lumpy suppress laughter] GoldenFamilyTies 02-17-2002, 06:20 PM I agree. For the most part, I think he sorta carried the show, he was very hilarious, and only he could do that part! :) Tiger32 03-07-2002, 12:38 AM The Andy Griffith show was never the same after he left. I loved the chemistry that Andy and Don had together, this chemistry apparently started long before the Andy Griffith show. I just wished they had done more movies together, or at least another television series. |
