What did everybody think of todays episodes with the Puzzler? It was cool seeing Maurice and Miss Bunny (Sgt. Carter's girlfriend) in this episode, but Maurice just wasn't criminal enough. I kind of wish they had filmed a Joker, Penguin or Catwoman episode and waited for Frank Gorshin.
For those that are totally out in left field with what I'm talking about. The Puzzler episode was meant for Frank Gorshin in the Riddler role. Frank wasn't available so the writers created a "Puzzler" criminal. I think the story would've been a lot better if it was centered on the Riddler. Anybody have anything to add?

You know there was an episode where John (Gomez Addams) Astin played the Riddler, so they coulda just cast him instead of the Puzzler...(though Frank Gorshwin is a tough act to follow...);)
The Puzzler...
Yeah, there were definately A list and B list villains on Batman...
Puzzler was probably a C-...

The intended episode for Riddler was called A Penny For Your Thoughts/They're Worth A Lot More. Gorshin, had grew tired of the role and didn't renew his contract. The episode was then changed to a Puzzler story. After the disappointing portrayl of Riddler by John Astin, Gorshin was talked into making his last appearance in Ring Around The Riddler.

Actually, it was because of a nightclub engagement which Gorshin couldn't avoid. Gorshin wasn't too thrilled at the choice of his replacement, and that's what convinced him to return for one more go-round with The Caped Crusader and The Boy Wonder as The Prince Of Puzzlers.
Gee...I could just imagine Mr. Kirk Douglas (the all-time favourite of Gorshin's comic-mimic repertoire) in the role of The Prince Of Puzzlers! :happyface   :talk: :D  :)

Sorry, your wrong. the official Batman Batbook by Joel Eisner plainly states that Gorshin had grown tired of the role, Trust me on this, I know my Batman
