Spiders are created by search engines like Google. They crawl the internet finding pages to index and display in search results.

Yandex is the second largest search engine in the Russian language.

Microsoft Bing is probably the second most popular engine after Google.

Google AdSense is for the advertising.

I blocked many bad bots from this list. I also slowed down the amount of requests. It has run much better in recent weeks.

Valerie’s 60th birthday thread (from like three and a half years ago) got BingBoted today. Me so happy.

It's good to see that Bing is indexing more of our pages to help people find us. Traffic was up around 22% last month over the same period last year.

I blocked most of the spiders besides Google, Bing and Yandex. It runs much faster.

40% of our traffic comes from search engines.

Google - 38.5%
Yahoo! - 1.2%
Bing - 0.6%

What's the difference between Spiders? A one suit Spider Solitaire game is the easiest to solve, my favorite. A two suit Spider has one suit of black and one suit of red, tougher but manageable. I come across those in Microsoft Solitaire Collection's daily challenges and events. Four suit Spiders (both black suits and both red suits) are nasty, I don't like them at all.
Oh, you were referring to search engines? :happyface
