Why did she call Cliff and Claire Dr. and Mrs. Huxtable? They're her grandparents.

Technically they are her step-grandparents...but I thought that was weird too. I mean, the Huxtables are supposed to be this nice loving close-knit family, and yet poor little Olivia has to refer to them as Dr. and Mrs. Huxtable. My mother has step-grandkids and they call her grandma.

That's exactly what my mom said. She wanted me to post this topic.

I noticed that too.
Maybe she was introduced to them as Dr. & Mrs. Huxtable and just kept going with that. And nobody bothered to change it. I don't know. Possibly, the shows producers, writers, ect. thought it would be cuter. "Dr. Huxtable, can I ask you a question?"......."Dr. Huxtable?"........"Mrs. Huxtable?"-------you can get the picture.

I also notice that Olivia refers to Denise as "Denise" and sometimes "Mom" (well, at least one time that i remember, but there may be more)

I think it was mostly for the cuteness factor... (When she said Dr. Huxtable it was really cute) :)
