The show first aired on Tuesday, March 23, 1982 at 8:30pm on ABC
ABC put Laverne and Shirley on Hiatus for six weeks so that Joanie Loves Chachi could air in the 8:30pm slot between Happy Days and Three's Company
The 1st season of JLC was only 4 episodes-3/23, 3/30, 4/5 and 4/12
The competition during season 1 was QED on CBS and Bret Maverick on NBC
After the 1st episode, the show ranked #2 behind Dallas and finished #7 overall
In season 2, the show aired on Thursday Nights at 8pm as the leadoff show and competed with Fame on NBC and Magnum PI on CBS
