In 1998 FOX debuted a sitcom called Holding The Baby that starred Eddie McClintock and Sherri Shepherd. The sitcom which was an American remake of a UK series of the same name followed the life of a guy trying to balance work and raise his infant son at the same time. Despite having the markings of a successful sitcom and debuting at the same time as the second season of World's Funniest Holding The Baby was soon cancelled but it sure made a star out of Sherri Shepherd. If you enjoy Yes, Dear give an episode of Holding The Baby a try and you'll laugh and laugh. It's really a shame that FOX used to give new sitcoms a chance to shine but the good FOX sitcoms always got cancelled without having a chance in the 90's and Holding The Baby was one of these
