What would it be like if you had a very unlucky day that bad things happen to you all the time but then something unexpected happens that turns your bad day into the best lucky day ever. For one young girl the truth is about to happen in Luck a new animated movie debuting in August on Apple TV. Luck tells the story of Sam a girl who has nothing but bad luck on her side but Sam is in for some exciting news when her luck is about to change when a lucky penny takes her to an enchanted land full of good luck wisdom and four leaf clovers. Luck is slated to have the celebrity voices of Simon Pegg Whoopi Goldberg and Jane Fonda who is slated to voice a lucky dragon who becomes Sam's best friend. Luck is also the debut movie for newcomer animation company Skydancer Films and is created by the same writers as Toy Story. I must admit after learning about this movie I got excited and I hope Luck does well for Apple TV

I happened to see Luck yesterday on Apple TV and it's excellent but should've been promoted more. I think what Skydancer Films is trying to do is compete with Pixar and Disney and considering that Luck was created by the creators of Toy Story Skydancer Films should've made Luck more known in the animated film market. The film also had a remake of Madonna's 1982 hit Lucky Star which was very unappealing and an original song would've made Luck better. The oddest thing is why Luck didn't have a DVD release or merchandise except for the soundtrack? I think since Apple TV chose to have Luck they could've released a toy line and other merchandise to go along with the promotion of the movie. Because look at Netflix when the movie Over The Moon debuted with merchandise such as dolls and books and it was a hit. And the same thing with Spirit Riding Free when Netflix debuted it you saw merchandise of Spirit Riding Free and it became a huge property for Netflix when the movie came out also. I think that with Luck Apple TV should've done a whole lot more with it even though it's a great movie
