I am still angry about how Tmothy Hutton's slimeball lying swine of an accuser ruined his career and got him fired from the continuation. But with it coming to linear TV now and not just streaming, Redemption will be harder not to try. ION will be airing two new episodes every Monday night from 9-11 with an immediate encore from 11PM-1AM. A solitary repeat of classic Leverage closes out the night at 1AM, but that should really get a few episodes in evenings cutting down more of Fakegyver that still goes til 9.

How do you know she was lying? Were you there?

How do you know she was lying? Were you there?

Were you there? Why are you taking her word -- oh yeah, because she's a woman? Because all women tell the truth? Because no woman has absolutely lied about anything, right? Because I'm sure she has always told the truth, never told a lie, and never did a bad thing in her life and that everyone who knew her would probably speak SO highly of her.

Why don't you tell us what happened? Your questioning seems to imply you know. After all, accusers always tell the truth, right? Amber Heard should've won against that horrific abuser Johnny Depp, right? I'll leave that up to you to answer, but I think you know the right answer to this.

You shouldn't take a man or woman's word at face value, because nobody is infallible, and nobody has never lied about anything in their life because nobody's perfect. I don't believe in taking a woman accusing a man at face value, or taking a man's side automatically either.

But I don't mean to derail this thread, as this was about the Leverage sequel/reboot on ION, not accusers.

I never said that I was taking her word as only the parties involved know what did/didn't happen. I was asking why icecream was so certain that the accuser lied and that Hutton was innocent.

They decided to not pursue it due to lack of evidence as the alleged incident happened decades ago. It doesn't mean one is necessarily innocent, just that you cannot prove it either way.

Canadian officials found a glaring lack of support and proof for this liar's claims. Timothy Hutton has denied knowing her from when she claims it happened, filed a defamation of character lawsuit, and got the FBI involved because she tried to extort him. You wouldn't ask for an FBI investigation if you were guilty.

Well, you shouldn't take accusations at face value. If there was a "lack of proof", than she was obviously lying about it which happens so often with these less-than-credible MeToo accusations often have never really happened, but lack-of-talent actresses who sought to make it big who didn't want to retaliate against those who didn't hire them or gave them a lesser role. It does, actually mean, that he, the accused, is innocent and she is guilty, guilty, guilty of lying and pulling an Amber Heard.

And yes, you were absolutely taking her word because your line of questioning could definitely lead one to believe that you sided with her and you should know by now that not all accusations are true, and many are false.

I hope she goes to jail for the rest of her life for making false accusations, as all false accusers should, man or woman.

Well, after all, the "Believe All Women" crowd will say that if a woman said something bad happened to her, it's automatically true, and all men lie! Of course, I don't believe this BS and all you said sounds perfectly logical and within reason rather than a snarky "Were you there when it happened?" Well, I bet you weren't there when a number of tragedies and national disasters occurred, but we can all speak about them because we know about them, even though we weren't there when it happened. That doesn't equate to anything other than a paper-thin argument.

The "Believe All Women" crowd would probably say that the FBI investigation would mean she was innocent -- but, after all, we weren't in the room when it happened! Even though it didn't happen, so... the poster's question was  :cuckoo:

I don't see how you can compare disasters to knowing the intimate details about the private encounters between two parties.

Lack of proof does not mean one is innocent of a crime.

I didn't side with her. I was asking on how icecream knew for a fact that she was lying; which he did explain his reasoning for.

I know that not all accusations are true, so I don't know the need for you to point that out.

Lack of proof does not mean one is innocent of a crime.

Except it does.

Except it does.

Not at all. Many have committed crimes that couldn't be proven.

It was good seeing Parker, Sophie, Hardison, and Eliot again. But Noah Wyle and the other newbie are very poor replacements for Timothy Hutton. Making things worse was finding out at the end another original cast member was leaving, the main page for this on epguides.com had still listed them as a regular.

Halfway point of the season came last night with episode 8. New episodes were advertised for next Monday instead of a new episode, so I checked my listings assuming it was two. No, four new episodes on August 29 from 9PM-1AM, episodes 9-12, then episode 9 encores at 1AM. Then on Labor Day most of season 1 gets a marathon starting at 11AM starting with episode 3 (really now, they could have started at 9AM and not skipped the first two). At 9PM on Labor Day is the last four new episodes 13-16, from 9PM-1AM again (my listings only went thru midnight but it would continue the pattern of the previous week). Burning off that many new episodes in a 2 week period after at most 2 in previous weeks is probably a sign ION didn't get good ratings from Leverage: Redemption, either that or they have a new pickup that will air all day Mondays starting on September 12.
