We made the final arrangements for Dave today. He will get a military sendoff at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI on July12.There will be Army personnel to speak and a gun salute. He would love that! And I will be given a flag. He will have an Army headstone. The funeral home will contact the VA and will contact GM Benefits about my life insurance, pension and VA benefits. I basically won't have to do anything on my own. This is a load off my mind. So great!

That is a great honor. The gun salute is uncommon. If you were in the NYC area I would attend. In the past (before Covid) I made many in person clothing donations to VA hospitals and whenever I see a veteran with a black baseball cap with their outfit on I always stop and ask them where they served.
